Master Sergeant Chad E. Fisher
Master Sergeant Chad E. Fisher entered the United States Army in 1996 and attended Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK as an Artilleryman. In 1999 he later re-classed to be trained as a US Cavalryman.
His subsequent positions and duty assignments have included: Driver, Gunner, 1st Battalion, 12 FA, Fort Sill, OK; Section Sergeant, L Troop 3rd Squadron, 2nd ACR, Fort Polk, LA; Drill Sergeant, 5th Squadron, 15th Cavalry Regiment, Fort Knox, KY; First Sergeant, M Co 3rd Squadron, 2nd ACR, Fort Polk, LA; Platoon Sergeant, 3rd Squadron, 89th Calvary Regiment, Fort Polk, LA; First Sergeant, B Co 4th BN 353rd; First Sergeant, HHC, 162nd INF BDE, Fort Polk, LA; Operations Sergeant Major, 162nd INF BDE; First Sergeant, 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment(A), JBER, AK; Operations Sergeant 4th BDE, 25th Infantry Division (A). He is currently assigned as the Senior Military Instructor at Auburn University.
He has three Operational Deployments, two in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and a one in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. MSG Fisher’s most recent deployment was a peacekeeping operation in support of Operation JOINT GUARDIAN in Kosovo
1SG Fisher’s military schooling includes all NCOES through First Sergeants Course. He is also a graduate of Pathfinder School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant School.
Some of his more notable awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal. He has also been awarded the Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, the Combat Action Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
He has also been a proud member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club since being inducted in 2008.
